The I-7232D is a CANopen slave to Modbus RTU master gateway, and allows a CANopen master to have ability to access the Modbus slave devices. In the CANopen network, the I-7232D is a NMT slave, SDO server, PDO producer, and PDO consumer. From the view of the Modbus network, it is a Modbus RTU master which polls all the predefi ned data of the Modbus RTU slaves, and bypass the CANopen control commands to the Modbus slaves. The I-7232D follows the CANopen specifi cation CiA-301 v4.02 and CiA-401 v2.1, and supplies many features of CANopen protocols, such as dynamic PDO, EMCY object, error output value, SYNC cyclic and acyclic. Like the I-7231D, the EDS fi le is also provided by the utility tool. Users can easily apply the I-7232D in the standard CANopen master with the EDS file.

There are many RS-232 devices in industry applications. Nowadays it becomes important to link all those RS-232 devices together for automation & information. Usually those RS-232 devices are far away from the host-PC & widely distributed in the factory. So it is not a good idea to use multi-serial cards to connect all these RS-232 devices together. Our I-752N series products can be used to link multiple RS-232 devices by single RS-485 network. The RS-485 is famous for it's easy maintenance, simple cabling, stable, reliable and low cost.
Onboard 1Kb Queue buffer
The I-752N modules are equipped with a 1Kb queue buffer for its local RS-232 device. All input data can be stored in the queue buffer until the Host PC has time to read it. These features allow the Host PC to be linked to thousands of RS-232 devices without any loss of data.
3000V isolation on RS-485 side
COM2 of the I-752N modules is an isolated RS-485 port with 3000V isolation, which will protect the local RS-232 devices from transient noises coming from the RS-485 network.
Self-Tuner ASIC inside
The interned I-752N Self-Tuner ASIC for the RS-485 port can auto detect and control the send/receive direction of the RS-485 network, meaning that there is no need for application programs to be concerned about direction control of the RS-485 network. The advanced technology which makes this possible is covered.
Can be used as Addressable RS-485 to RS-232 Converter
Most RS-232 devices don't support device addressing. The ICPDAS I-752N series assigns a unique address to any RS-232 device installed on an RS-485 network. When the Host PC sends a command with a device address to the RS-485 network, the destination I-752N module will remove the address field, and then pass the other commands to its local RS-232 devices. The response from the local RS-232 devices will be returned to the Host PC via the I-752N.
Master-type Addressable RS-485 to RS-232 Converter
ICP DAS I-752N products are unique. In that they are Master-type converters which use our R.O.C. Patent086674, while most other converters are Slave-type, which are helpless without a Host PC. In real industrial applications, many users are not satisfied with Slave-type converters as they cannot be adapted to individual requirement.
The powerful I-752N series analyzes the local RS-232 devices, DI and DO without the need for a Host PC. Refer to Applications 5~9 for more information in the manual.
Can be used as RS-485 to RS-232 Device Server
The Device Server is an appliance that network enables any device with a serial communication port. Our Intelligent Communication Controllers allow those devices to become connected to the RS-485 network If the user wants to use Ethernet work, he can choose I-7188EN series products.

Most industrial computer systems provide standard RS-232 serial ports. Though widely accepted, RS-232 has limited transmission speed, range, and networking capabilities. The RS-422 and RS-485 standards overcome these limitations by using differential voltage lines for data and control signals, which transparently converts RS-232 signals into isolated RS-422 or RS-485 signal with no need to change any hardware or software. The I-7520/I-7520A lets you easily build an industrial grade, long-distance communication system using standard PC hardware.

The design of the isolation between the I-7520 and the I-7520R/AR is different. If the user wants to supply power from the PLC/PC, the I-7520R/AR should be used, otherwise the isolation will be broken. Refer to the I-7000 bus converter manual for detailed information.

The ECAN-240 module is a Modbus TCP to 2-port CAN Bus Gateway. As its functionality, that provides communications via the Ethernet based on the Modbus TCP industrial protocol, meaning that the module can be easily integrated with an industrial network. The ECAN-240 module includes two CAN bus interfaces, meaning that more various CAN applications can be supported, such as a CAN bridge or a CAN message router. The CAN message router function means that the ECAN-240 module can be used to connect to four different CAN networks, ensuring they can communicate with each other.

Modbus TCP Server

The Modbus TCP Server function is used to implement communications between a CAN device and a Modbus TCP Client. When the ECAN-240 module is acting as a Modbus TCP Server, the Modbus TCP Client needs to use Modbus commands based on the CAN format in order to access the ECAN-240 module. The ECAN-240 module will then translate these commands into CAN format messages and send them to the CAN networks. Similarly, when a CAN format message is received from the CAN network, the ECAN-240 translates the message into Modbus format, which can then be accessed using a Modbus command.

Modbus TCP Client

The Modbus TCP Client function is used to implement communications between a CAN Bus and a Modbus TCP Server. When the ECAN-240 module is acting as a Modbus TCP Client, it can access the Modbus TCP Server via the command configuration. When the ECAN-240 module receives I/O data, it will forward it to the remote CAN devices for analysis, control, or other operations. Once configured, the ECAN-240 module is also able to access the Modbus TCP Server via a CAN message.

Pair Connection

The Pair Connection function is used to implement communication between two ends of CAN network. CAN Network #1 can communicate with CAN Network #3 or CAN Network #4 using pair connection configuration. Similarly, CAN Network #2 can also communicate with CAN Network #3 or CAN Network #4 in the same manner. The pair connection function on the ECAN-240 module is implemented via either the TCP or the UDP protocol.

Transparent

The Transparent option is to see as a half-pair connections. The TCP/UDP packet is in CAN format and contains the CAN ID. This is useful because it allows custom TCP/UDP programs to be developed that can directly access the ECAN-240 module for specific applications.

The I-2533CS series (I-2533CS, I-2533CS-60, I-2533CS-A and I-2533CS-B) is a local CAN bridge used to establish a connection between two CAN bus system via single mode fiber optic transmission medium. In order to solve the problem between CAN and fiber transmission medium, the I-2533CS series is specially designed for converting the electrical CAN bus signal to fiber optic cables. Besides, the I-2533CS-A/B supports Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology so that only a single fiber cable is needed for transmitting bi-directional CAN data. As the I-2533CS-A and I-2533CS-B must be paired because of hardware limitations, this means that the cost of deploying fiber cable can be effectively reduced.

I-2533CS series has three more important features. First, the transmission distance limitation of the CAN bus system will not affected due to the different CAN baud rate. It means that the total CAN bus working distance can be extended. Second, the bus error on one CAN network will not affect the operation of another CAN network. Finally, the two CAN network can communication with each other by using different CAN baud rate for highly flexibility.

They are designed not only to convert EtherCAT signals to optical signals on a fiber optic cable, to reshape the EtherCAT signal to compensate for distortion, but to isolate the bus error due to the wire short or disturbance. With the advantage of fiber optic, the ECAT-2511-A and ECAT-2511-B enable secure data transmission via fiber optic transmission, and helps the EtherCAT network to prevent the noise from EMS/RFI interference.

50% Cost Saving for Fiber Optic Infrastructures:
With a pair of ECAT-2511 series products (ECAT-2511-A and ECAT-2511-B), you can double the utilization of your existing, costly fiber optic cable, and save 50% of the cost of a newly installed fiber optic application.

There are many RS-232 devices that are used in industrial applications. Nowadays, it has become important to link all these RS-232 devices together for automation purposes and for extracting information. Usually, those RS-232 devices are at a distance from the host PC and may be widely distributed throughout the factory. Consequently, it is not a good idea to use multiple serial cards to connect all these RS-232 devices together. The tM-752N can be used to link multiple distributed RS-232 devices using a single RS-485 network. The RS-485 is renowned for its easy maintenance, simple cabling, stability, reliability and low cost.

The tM-752N series supports the DCON protocol (compatible with I-752N series), allowing users to modify the settings of the module, such as the serial port configuration and the operation mode, etc. The module also has a built-in web server which provides an intuitive web management interface that simplifies the configuration of the module.

The tM-752N series module is equipped with a 1 KB queue buffer for its local RS-232 device. All data can be stored in the queue buffer until the host PC has time to read it. This feature allows the host PC to link to many low-speed RS-232 devices without suffering any data loss, and also makes it easier for baud rate converter applications to be implemented.

The built-in Self-Tuner ASIC on an RS-485 port can automatically detect and control the send/receive direction of the RS-485 network. Consequently, there is no need for application programs to be concerned with direction control of the RS-485 network.

Most RS-232 devices don’t support device addressing. The ICP DAS tM-752N series module assigns a unique address for each RS-232 device installed. When a command with a device address is sent to the RS-485 network, the destination tM-752N module removes the address field, and then passes the commands to the specified local RS-232 device. The response from the local RS-232 device will be returned to the host PC via the tM-752N.

The GW-7243D offers the DeviceNet slave and Modbus master functions, and enables the DeviceNet master to access the Modbus slave devices. In the DeviceNet network, the module acts as a Group 2 Only Server device, and waits to build the connection with the DeviceNet master. In the Modbus network, the GW-7243D is a master device, and cyclically sends the commands to access the Modbus slave devices. Both the Modbus TCP client and Modbus RTU/ASCII master interfaces of the GW-7243D can work simultaneously. This feature means that users are able to integrate different kinds of Modbus slave devices together into the DeviceNet network no matter these devices provide Ethernet, RS-232 or RS-485 communication interfaces. In order to simplify the use of the GW-7243D, the GW-7243D Utility tool for confi guration and EDS file production is given. This is helpful to build the applications easily and quickly.
